La segunda parte de la Gala estuvo dedicada por completo al Macbeth, de Verdi. Aquí hay que hacer un punto y aparte para la soprano dramática April Evans, quien brilló con su encarnación de la terrible Lady Macbeth. Evans no se ''ahorra'', es una cantante que se da completa y encarna su papel a plenitud, por eso convence tanto, a pesar de que en este caso, no había nada en escena en qué apoyar su interpretación. Su Nell di della vitoria, fue impecable, y no lo fue menos la escena del sonambulismo, aunque en ésa hubieramos preferido un poco más de actuación con referencia a ''la mancha de sangre''. Evans posee una voz ideal para este papel que requiere registros profundos, declamación rimada y hasta colores desagradables para matizar un personaje tremendo.
